Join whether you've liked them for years or just heard a song and said, " Hey, this IS good!"

It's also to grow NEW fans of X-Japan as they should be MUCH more recognized than they are!! They're SO good!! ^______^v

X-Japan is a J-Rock club from the 80s and early 90s. Their mix of rock and classical has a distinct sound to it and their lyrics (and orchestrals) were written primarily by the elegant and beautiful Yoshiki Hayashi who was also their band leader, drummer, pianist. Their group disbanded in 1999 and was going to make a come back in 2000 until the sad and horrifying suicide of the band's -extremely- talented lead guitarist, Hideto - known to fan and friend alike as hide. The loss was tragic to all of Japan it seemed, and many people even committed suicide to try and 'follow hide' though, knowing hide's love of life and mankind alike, he probably would not have wanted that. This tragedy effected the whole group - but especially Yoshiki, who after hide's funeral, is rumored to have gone into seclusion in his California mansion for many years. Today Yoshiki is head of an extremely famous record company in Japan where he finds new and beautiful talents though none comparing with hide's skill. I am unsure what happened to the other members of X, but they will probably never come together as a band again as they would be missing a part of the band's soul. Hopefully though, their music and legend will live on through their fans for ages to come.
